Team Overview
To support the growth strategy of Everest International, we are expanding our Finance team in Singapore with this newly created role.
Role Purpose:
The primary responsibilities of this role are to support Financial Reporting team to manage all regulatory, statutory accounting and reporting requirements relating to Singapore.
This role also requires you to work closely with other departments and functions as well as regional colleagues to support local and regional transformation projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensures the monthly financial close are done on time with accuracy and complete in accordance to laid process flows, check lists with strict compliance with the control points indicated.
Ensures financial reporting required to both internal and external stakeholders (MAS returns, IRAS GST returns, AFS etc) are prepare with accuracy and on time.
Prepares weekly and monthly management reporting.
Prepares reinsurance statement of accounts and to liaise with ceded re accounting for quarterly statements rendering, XOL allocated costs / premium adjustments and RI payments.
Assists in IFRS 17 implementation.
Assists in all regional projects.
Streamline work processes for greater efficiency.
Undertakes any other finance duties as may be assigned.
Candidate Profile
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Abilities
At least 2-3years relevant work experience in an insurance company
Strong written and verbal communication.
Strong team player and interpersonal skills.
Proactive, experience in problem solving and analysis.
Ability to work in start-up environment.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of accounting principles
MAS reporting experience preferable
Professional qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Accounting or Finance
