We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our Zurich Team as a full-time Financial Risks Junior Underwriter to support our senior professionals. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Financial Products.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Helping prepare meetings and business trips.
Helping Underwriters collect info, process data, and analyse risk factors.
Providing an efficient, high quality data entry and working closely with Underwriting Assistants.
Undergoing the (continuous) training required for the current role and for future growth.
Supporting Underwriters in analysing, reviewing, monitoring accounts, and pricing Credit / Surety / Political Risks programs in accordance with Everest Re guidelines.
Where applicable, joining Senior Underwriters at industry events and market visits to develop and maintain the relationships with cedents and brokers.
Maintaining a close working relationship with Pricing Actuaries.
Reviewing/processing claims with Underwriters and Claims Department in accordance with Everest Re guidelines.
Analysing and monitoring our book of business (dashboard).
Ensuring good communication with accounting to facilitate exchanges where needed.
Supporting the exposure control process.
Your profile
Recent graduate in a relevant subject or holding a comparable recognised insurance qualification.
A few years of prior experience in Financial Risks or another line of business would be a bonus.
Intellectual curiosity and drive to gradually progress to a senior role, while keeping (part of) the above tasks.
Enthusiastic and forward-looking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team player with the ability to communicate effectively.
Technical, analytical and result oriented mind.
Proficient and effective knowledge of MS-Office products, especially Excel.
Language skills: very good command of English is a prerequisite. Additional language(s) would be an advantage.
