Dan Reinert appointed to lead the growth of private equity offerings across P&C lines
WARREN, New Jersey – January 25, 2024 – Everest Insurance®, the insurance division of Everest Group, Ltd. (NYSE: EG), has established a dedicated Private Equity practice, which will expand the Company’s offerings across property and casualty lines to serve the distinct needs of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in North America. Dan Reinert has been appointed Private Equity Vertical Leader, reporting to Rob Clark, Head of Everest Specialty Underwriters.

Mr. Reinert brings extensive industry and private equity experience to lead the Company’s dedicated offering, which now includes property and casualty product capabilities in addition to existing financial lines and transactional liability offerings. Most recently, Mr. Reinert oversaw Private Equity within Everest Specialty Underwriters, where he scaled Everest’s core product offering, General Partnership Liability. Prior to Everest, Mr. Reinert served in various underwriting and leadership roles at leading global insurance carriers where he focused exclusively on financial lines and fund liability. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Temple University.
The Company also announced the appointment of Matt Murray to Head of Private Equity Distribution, where he will oversee the vertical’s sales and distribution efforts. Mr. Murray will serve as the single point of contact for clients and brokers, providing them access to the complete suite of customizable private equity offerings while enabling increased speed to market. Mr. Murray joined Everest in 2016 as Northeast Region Distribution Leader for North America, where he established deep relationships with key trading partners. With nearly 25 years of experience with a large global broker, he was most recently a Risk Management Client Executive responsible for a diverse book of business across the industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Denver.
