Job Description:

As the Global Head of Talent Management, you will play a critical role in the organization, responsible for shaping and executing our talent strategy to support our global operations.  You will lead the development and implementation of initiatives to identify, develop and retain talent across all levels and functions.  You will partner closely with our business leaders and HR Business Partners across the globe to identify and bridge talent gaps, fostering skill development and competency enhancement, to shape the future trajectory of our workforce.  You will also ensure that our strategic agenda is strongly embedded in our business processes. This position reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our global talent agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy aligned with the company's objectives and growth plans. 

  • Succession Planning: Lead efforts to identify and develop high-potential talent for key leadership positions through robust succession planning initiatives.

  • Learning and Development Programs: Design and oversee the implementation of global learning and development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of our workforce at all levels

  • Performance Management:  Oversee the performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent assessments, to drive accountability and high performance.

  • Leadership Development: Design and oversee the implementation of leadership development programs to cultivate a pipeline of skilled and effective leaders capable of driving organizational success.

  • Early Career Programs: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of early career programs, including internships and rotational assignments, to attract and develop diverse, emerging talent.

  • Talent Assessment and Career Pathing: Develop tools and processes for talent assessment and career pathing to ensure our colleagues have clear visibility into their career progression within the organization.

  • Talent Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to assess talent trends, measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives, and identify areas for improvement.

  • HCM Integration: Oversee the integration and utilization of Workday (our Human Capital Management system) within Talent Development and Performance Management functions, fostering its adoption and proficiency among colleagues throughout the organization.

  • Professional Growth Initiatives: Spearhead the development and implementation of sponsorship, mentorship, and coaching programs to cultivate talent and foster professional growth within the organization.

  • Global Collaboration: Collaborate with regional talent teams to ensure consistency and alignment of talent management initiatives across the organization's global footprint. Support local, functional or divisional talent initiatives as appropriate and identify opportunities for larger deployment

  • Team Leader:  Provide vision, direction, coaching and mentorship to the talent management team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management, and leverage insights to continuously enhance our talent programs and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in talent development or talent management role, with at least 10 years leading a global team, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful talent management / talent development strategies and programs that align with the company's goals, ensuring that the workforce is equipped to support the organization's strategic objectives.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • Strong understanding of talent assessment methodologies, performance management best practices, and leadership development frameworks.

  • Experience working in a global organization and with diverse teams, understanding the nuances of talent development in a global context.

  • Strong understanding of the implementation of learning programs and technology in a distributed environment

  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment and integration of talent initiatives with broader organizational goals.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable talent initiatives.

  • A commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in talent management to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.

  • Relevant certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) are a plus.
