Job Description:
The Parametric Solutions department of Everest Group, Ltd. is looking for a Director of Data Science to join our Warren, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Supporting underwriters in all underwriting endeavors, including analytical and administrative support
- Interacting with clients and helping to structure contracts
- Creating and running pricing models
- Writing front-end and back-end code for pricing applications, reporting applications
- Developing processes, including automated processes
- Maintaining all relevant data and information systems
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Data Science or other quantitative major
- 5-10 years of work experience
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional problem solving skills and self-motivation
- Programming/coding skills (SQL, Python, R, C#, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Understanding of probability and statistics
- Knowledge of data science or machine learning
