As a member of our Financial Line department in France, the candidate will be responsible for managing new business and renewals, with an emphasis on underwriting new business production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the growth of a profitable and diversified portfolio of Financial Lines risks.

  • Actively market the department’s products in all regions of the country, increasing Everest Insurance’s market presence and bid growth nationally.

  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of the company’s underwriting authorities and guidelines.

  • Analyze new business to ensure portfolio profitability as defined by corporate underwriting policy.

  • Underwriting renewals according to current underwriting policy in a service and cost-effective environment, ensuring high retention of renewals.

  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with brokers and clients, including soliciting new business opportunities.

  • Assist in the development of products and marketing materials.

  • Ability to assess and communicate relevant market information to the underwriting team.

  • Interact and coordinate activities with other departments (in particular, management, prevention, claims, accounting).

  • Contribute to the regular analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 10 years of Financial Line underwriting experience, demonstrating subject matter expertise and strong industry contacts.

  • Excellent analytical and computer skills with demonstrated ability to use data analysis and draw appropriate conclusions based on results.

  • In-depth knowledge of the French insurance market and brokers.

  • Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain excellent broker relationships and provide high quality service.

  • Ability to ensure compliance with all internal and external management and regulatory controls

  • Team player and ability to work effectively with peers.

  • Strong time management skills to meet all service requirements.

  • Advanced Master 2 in Insurance or Legal or equivalent

  • Languages - Fluency in English and French, both oral and written, is essential.
