HAMILTON, Bermuda – May 6, 2025 – Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Group, Ltd. (NYSE: EG), today announced that Jonathan Mesagaes has been named Head of Renewable Energy. He will report to John Hyland, Head of Underwriting and Marine, and will support clients across the division’s Global Specialties business.

With more than two decades of experience in underwriting, risk management, and actuarial pricing, Mr. Mesagaes joined Everest in 2007 and most recently served as Senior Marine Underwriter, where he led the growth and transformation of the reinsurance renewable energy portfolio. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles at Everest including Group Reporting and Exposure Management Lead, and Chief Risk Officer and Head of Actuarial Function in Ireland, where he played a key role in launching the Company’s local insurance operation. Mr. Mesagaes began his actuarial career at Crum & Forster.
