About the role:

The VP, Agile Transformation Lead position will serve as a core leader within the Everest Information Technology department, driving Scaled Agile implementation. Responsibilities include integrating methodology, tools, and coaching to facilitate the transformation process. Collaborating closely with other leaders, this role will define agile change management practices, develop learning programs for teams and roles, and continually enhance playbook and metrics at the enterprise level.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a leader in defining and implementing scaled agile techniques and practices, facilitating agile adoption through collaborative partnerships, and influencing change during the Agile rollout.

  • Assess organizational readiness for agile adoption in business and IT divisions. Develop an implementation strategy aligned with their readiness levels while ensuring consistent adoption of agile methodologies company wide.

  • Ensure selecting the right vendors to assist, coach, and implement agile methodologies during the initial stages of agile adoption.

  • Build and lead a team of Agile coaches embedded within delivery teams by providing strategic guidance, issue escalation and resolution, and thought leadership.

  • Take an active role in directly assisting teams to understand epic, feature and story writing processes, offering hands-on support and guidance whenever necessary.

  • Establish and lead the Agile Center for Excellence, setting goals, standards, and practices essential for achieving a successful Agile transformation.

  • Establish and oversee key metrics linked to business outcomes, quantitatively and qualitatively measuring the impact and performance of Agile adoption. Develop a baseline and formulate mitigation plans for any metrics showing underperformance.

  • Be a trusted advisor at all levels of the enterprise, providing expert guidance on Agile principles, methodologies, and success metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of related experience in Agile transformation, with 5 years of large-scale Agile implementation and mentoring experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

  • Hands-on practical approach with a commitment to achieving excellence in delivery, problem-solving, taking ownership, and delivering business outcome.

  • Experience collaborating with cross functional leaders and educating teams on Agile practices.

  • Lead by example, challenging command and control behaviors, and demonstrating strong influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to inspire individuals to reach their full potential and encourage their teams to do the same.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, pragmatic data-driven decision-making, and excellent presentation skills.
