Craig Hanrahan

Craig Hanrahan is the Global Distribution & Chief Commercial Officer at Everest.

Effective August 1^st, 2026, Craig will lead Everest's global distribution strategy and key commercial relationships across its insurance and reinsurance businesses, partnering closely with business leaders to advance Everest's commitment to delivering exceptional service, underwriting expertise and long-term value to clients and brokers worldwide.

Prior to his current role, Craig most recently served as Head of U.S. Retail Insurance, where he led our U.S. Retail Insurance business across Commercial Property, Casualty, Financial Lines and Industry Practice solutions. He also previously served as Head of North America Field Operations, leading our four U.S. retail regions and helping strengthen our underwriting, service, claims and distribution capabilities. 

With over two decades of insurance industry experience, Craig has held senior roles in underwriting, brokerage, and distribution at Chubb (formerly ACE), Marsh, and AIG. At Chubb, he played a key role in launching ACE North America’s Global Client Executive Practice, led the Foreign Casualty Cash Flow Team, and served as Major Accounts Distribution Leader for the East Coast and Canada. He began his career at AIG Risk Management in New York, underwriting complex primary casualty programs for Fortune 500 clients.

Craig holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Fairfield University.
