John Wilcox
Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Development
John Wilcox is Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at Everest, responsible for leading the Company’s enterprise strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives.
John has a 30-year track record of accelerating enterprise growth and performance in insurance. Prior to joining Everest, John served as Chief Strategy and Ventures Officer at The Hartford, where he led corporate strategy, M&A, enterprise innovation, and venture investing.
Previously, he held senior positions overseeing the P&Ls of multiple lines of business, including as President and Chief Operating Officer of Risk Strategies Company, a top 20 US insurance broker; SVP and Head of The Hartford’s $4 billion Personal Lines business; and a partner with McKinsey & Company, the premier consulting firm where he spent a decade as a leader in the firm’s global insurance practice, including as Head of the Property & Casualty practice in Asia.
John holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance with High Honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was a Morris Vehon Fellow. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Dartmouth College.
